- European-Cobra-Meeting (ECM) 2025

European-Cobra-Meeting (ECM) 2025
COBRA meeting for the first time in South Tyrol!
The Cobra is an American/British sports car with a V8 engine that was originally developed as a racing car by Texan Carrol Shelby in 1962. Its success story began on the racetracks of America, from where Ford decided to use this basis to compete against the previously unbeatable European manufacturers Ferrari and Porsche. Shelby himself was involved in the legendary victory at LeMans with the Cobra-based Fort GT-40, as shown in the recently released Hollywood film with Matt Damon “Le Mans 66 - Against All Odds”.
Today, prices of over 1,000,000 euros are sometimes paid for an original Cobra, while a 427 “Super Snake” even achieved a record price of 5.5 million US dollars in 2007.

The Lodge Golf & Country Hotel, Unterrain | Eppan

Saturday, May 24th 2025

From 4 pm

There are only a few of them in the world and in Europe there is a very active Cobra club that organizes a meeting in a different country every year. This year the meeting - with over 100 Cobras! - is taking place in South Tyrol and that is no coincidence. Elmar Zöschg, a native of Girlaner and entrepreneur in Leifers, is himself the owner of two Cobras and has brought the 2025 edition of the ECM (European Cobra Meeting) 2025 to Eppan.
The 100 Cobras will make several trips in South Tyrol and Trentino from May 22 to 24, 2025. The grand finale will then take place on Saturday, May 24, from around 4:00 pm at the Golf&Country Hotel in Unterrain/Eppan, where all participating vehicles will be on display to the delight of local motorsport fans.
